TVS Bureau(Chandigarh): Odontos Dental Hospital in association with Cortex Implant under the mentorship of ace surgeon Dr Sachin Sachdeva from New Delhi and Dr Aman Singh from Chandigarh, organised a 1 day lecture and demonstration for dental surgeons of Chandigarh Tri-city to help them learn the latest technique by which Dental Implants are now possible without drilling the bone.
The most frightening part of dental implant surgery for any patient is the thought of drills penetrating the bone and the pain associated with it. But gone are the days of pain and agony, according to Dr Sachin Sachdeva, now Dental Implants can be placed inside the bone without drilling. He was talking about the special invention done in Germany which has been brought to India by Cortex Dental Implants. Although it may require a single drill or 2 drill in few cases.
This technology is new and unique hence is costly. But we believe that with time it will become more affordable. "Right now this surgery will cost Rs. 35000 to Rs. 50000 depending upon bone width and density, but should become affordable with time" - Dr Aman Singh was quoted saying this.

The lecture conducted by Dr Sachin was attended by surgeon not only from Chandigarh-Tricity but also Jammu and Kashmir, Uttrakhand, Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, Rajashtan, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Dr Aman thanked all the surgeon for their participation and congratulated them for the same. Dr Sachin Sachdeva who is pioneering this system in New Delhi and across the country invited all the surgeon to visit his state of the art centre in New Delhi. Dr Sachin Sachdeva also invited residents of Chandigarh tri-city to visit him for consultations if deemed necessary. Master Krishh, son of Dr Sachin who is just 12 years old also greeted the proceeding and expressed his desire to become an ace Surgeon like his father and wild life photography is his hobby.

Senior Surgeons Dr Mandeep, Dr Rakesh and Dr Naveen especially came from Amritsar to attend and were extremely delighted with the knowledge they received.

Many budding dental surgeons who have just passed out of colleges like Dr Aniruddh, Dr Rahul, Dr Manjinder, Dr Himanshu, told our reporter that after this lecture they have developed huge interest in Dental Implants and wish to pursue higher studies in same.

In the thank you note Dr Aman, thanked Dr Sachin for taking out time from his busy schedule and travelling all the way to Chandigarh, driving in the odd-even days of Delhi. Dr Aman promised to keep organising similar classes in short intervals and invited Dr Sachin to again come in April next year with fresh insights in the field of Dental Implants.
