How to LINK AADHAR with Your Bank Account

So, here’s how you can link your mobile number with Aadhaar offline:

Step 1:  Visit your nearest Aadhaar centre to avail Aadhaar Correction Form. You can also download the form from the UIDAI website. You can download the same here.

Step 2:  Fill out the form correctly and submit it to the concerned person at the centre. You need to clearly mention on the form that only mobile number is to be updated.

Step 3:  For submission, you are required to provide a photocopy of your Aadhaar card along with a photocopy of any identity proof such as PAN Card, Passport, or Voter ID card.

Step 4:  Following the submission, biometrics will be verified at the enrollment centre. Also, your thumb impression will also be verified.

Step 5:  After verification, you will be given an acknowledgment slip. However, the whole process takes around 2-5 working days, but as per the UIDAI helpine; the total turnaround time for the updation is 10 days.

How to update your mobile number:

Users can update a different mobile number online, but the customers’ existing number should be linked to the Aadhaar prior to this step as the OTP would be sent to the users existing number.

Step 1: Visit official UIDAI website - uidai.gov.in

Step 2: Under the Aadhaar Update tab, click ‘Update Aadhaar Details (Online)’ that will redirect the user to the Aadhar Self-Service portal

Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number and the Captcha text and request for OTP. The OPT will be sent to your existing mobile number.

Step 4: Enter the OTP and then the users will be redirected to a different page where customers can update the desired details.

Step 5: Under ‘Select field(s), select ‘Mobile Number’.

Step 6:  Enter your new mobile number that you want to update and click ‘Submit’
